New Castle and East Central Indiana are a month out from the devastating flooding. Local leader Brenda Grider checks in with us, updating on the response. Brenda is a New Castle native, she tells stories of her past responses in New Orleans from Katrina, Houston flooding, and the tornadoes in Winchester and Henryville, Indiana.

Amazing story of how the locals immediately jumped into action, self organizing and self funding for immediate response. Brenda shared how her network brought together the Church of Christ disaster response team, which led to pallets of food coming into the community, WalMart sending three truck loads of supplies, and countless other match making opportunities.Nationally, diesel prices are getting out of control. Congress has gone home, Jeremiah is frustrated with the lack of response. In sports, the Colts are not looking impressive, IU has teams trimming minutes out of games, and sports cars are coming to Indianapolis.
